Friendshoring in action: aligning Uzbekistan’s critical raw materials with Europe’s technological resources and supply chains
Friendshoring is the practice of relocating a country's or company's supply chains, manufacturing, or other operations to allied countries rather than just those geographically close (nearshoring) or the home country (reshoring). This strategic approach, also known as allyshoring, aims to reduce geopolitical risks, enhance supply chain security, and avoid dependence on authoritarian or politically unstable regimes by focusing on trade partners with shared values.
