Environmental recovery
EDM-Empresa de Desenvolvimento Mineiro, S.A. is a public company responsible for the recovery of degraded former mining areas in Portugal. EDM's activity is carried out under an exclusive concession contract signed with the Portuguese State, under the legal regime for the environmental recovery of degraded mining areas, approved by Decree-Law 198- A/2001 of 6 July. As part of its activity, EDM also promotes mining exploration projects, individually or in partnership, and supports the Portuguese government in technical assistance and strategic intervention in geological and mining ativities.
