Eric Buisson works as critical minerals analyst at the International Energy Agency (IEA), as part of the Office of the Chief Energy Economist. Eric coordinates demand-side critical mineral modelling and leads analysis on market transparency and lithium supply. He contributed to various publications, including the IEA's World Energy outlook, Global Critical Mineral Outlook and topical reports on traceability and critical mineral recycling.
Prior to joining the IEA, Eric served as policy officer at the Ministry of Energy Transition’s mineral resources department in France, on topics including critical raw materials, ESG and conflict minerals, and corresponding European and international affairs. Eric studied public administration at Sciences Po Paris’ School of Public Affairs, and also holds a degree in math from Sorbonne University.
