Brendan Clifford is the current Co-CEO of Mota Ceramic Solutions (MCS®) Portugal, a multi-site, multi-mineral producer of ceramic raw materials and ceramic bodies for the tile, sanitaryware and tableware sectors.
Brendan started his career as a Geologist 40 years ago having graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc. (Hons) in Applied Geophysics and Engineering Geology and then in 1992 obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Cranfield School of Management.
Brendan has worked internationally with residential assignments across Europe, Asia, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
In addition to Brendan international exposure, he also has +15 years’ experience as a Board Director and Managing Director with full P&L responsibility driving growth and profit in multi-site, multi-product mineral extraction, processing and ceramic manufacturing businesses. Brendan is also the current President of IMA-Europe and EUROFEL (European Feldspar Association).
