Luís Lima (MSc, MIMMM QMR) is the Head of the Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Mineralurgical department at Redcorp/Ascendant Resources. As geologist, he specialises in tungsten, gold, and polymetallic VMS deposits across Iberia and beyond. Luís runs integrated programs—from drilling, sampling, QA/QC, to integrate all geochemical data together with mineralogical data to provide accurate information to the Processing Engineering Team to improve recovery's and grades at the final concentrate. As geologist he directed the sampling and QA/QC measurements that led to an additional >20 Mt resource the Lagoa Salgada deposit an VMS project. Currently oversees the UNDERCOVER project activities in the Lagoa Salgada deposit, a European funded geophysics program that aims to discover new drilling targets in the Lagoa Salgada permit. Additionally he is also responsible for the sampling campaign and the implementation of the best QA/QC practices at the Borralha tungsten project (Portugal) drilling campaigns together with the management of the processing engineering team to assure the best metal recovery. His track record includes mapping, designing sampling and QA/QC protocols, , guiding metallurgical test work and trade-off studies, and contributing to CRIRSCO/PERC and NI 43-101–compliant disclosures.
