Vítor Arezes (BSc, MIMMM QMR) is Vice-President of Exploration at Allied Critical Metals and a Qualified Mineral Resource/Reserve Professional. As geologist, he specialises in tungsten, orogenic gold, bedrock lithium and polymetallic VMS deposits across Iberia and beyond. Vítor leads integrated programs—from targeting and drilling to 3D modelling, QA/QC, resource estimation and project evaluation—linking technical rigour with field execution and integrating geology with project management, mine planning and development. As geology team lead, he directed the fieldwork and drilling that led to first compliant Mineral Resource estimates of Portugal’s largest tungsten and lithium deposits and delivered a >20 Mt resource addition at a VMS project. He currently oversees the Borralha tungsten project (Portugal) and serves as Chief Geologist to the Lagoa Salgada VMS project (Cerrado Gold), with work spanning hydrogeology, permitting and stakeholder engagement. His track record includes mapping, designing sampling and QA/QC protocols, numerical modelling, building defensible Mineral Resource estimates, guiding metallurgical test work and trade-off studies, and contributing to CRIRSCO/PERC and NI 43-101–compliant disclosures. An advocate for responsible, integrated mining, Vítor translates complex geology and water-management concepts into clear language for communities and policymakers, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams on due diligence and strategy.
