ASSIMAGRA is Portugal's leading trade association representing the mineral resources sector, with a particular focus on the natural stone industry. Founded in 1964 as the National Guild of Marble, Granite, Similar Stone and Masonry Industries, ASSIMAGRA has evolved significantly over six decades.
ASSIMAGRA represents approximately 260 member companies across Portugal, directly impacting more than 14,000 jobs in the sector. The association covers about 80% of the Portuguese stone sector, representing companies involved in: Quarrying and processing of ornamental stone; Industrial stone quarrying and processing; Mining sector operations; Technologies applied to quarying and processing industries; Related mineral resource activities.
