“Securing Europe’s metals and minerals supply”
The 8th MINEX Europe Forum, held on 22-23 October 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic, provided a neutral platform for an open dialogue on the challenges and potential solutions facing the mining and mineral exploration sector. The Forum focused on the role of the industry in meeting Europe’s demand for essential metals and minerals while promoting best practices in mining and post-mining reconciliation.
The Forum brought together stakeholders involved in developing Critical Raw Materials projects in countries such as Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Finland, France, Norway, Portugal, Kosovo, Serbia, Spain, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Over 40 speakers from 38 organisations offered insights into the practical impacts of proposed reforms to revitalise Europe’s mining and supply chains. The discussions also addressed the regulatory, financial, social, environmental, and technological challenges that often impede promising projects and opportunities.
