MINING EXECUTIVE, STRATEGIC ADVISOR, INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER AND THOUGHT-LEADER ON CRITICAL RAW MATERIALS

Han Ilhan

Han is the Managing Director of Catalis Strategies, a consulting firm retained by Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK), where he serves as the Advisor to the Chairman of the Board. Widely regarded as an accomplished speaker, he frequently addresses international investment and industry forums, translating complex strategies into clear, actionable insights.

From Mine to Market: Partnering for Resilient Supply Chains

With more than four decades of global leadership in mining, project finance, and capital markets, Han has worked extensively across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. His career includes senior executive roles in major mining and engineering companies, where he oversaw exploration, development, and financing of large-scale resource projects.

At TMK, Han plays a pivotal role in advancing Uzbekistan’s “Hub Concept” – an integrated model connecting upstream mining, midstream metal refining, and downstream manufacturing within Special Economic Zones. This phased approach underpins TMK’s vision of building a closed-loop industrial ecosystem, from mine to metal to market. By fostering Future Metals Technoparks, expanding midstream processing hubs, and embedding ESG principles into operations, TMK is positioning Uzbekistan as a reliable and responsible partner in the global critical raw materials supply chain.

At MINEX Europe 2025, Han will join a fireside chat titled “Friendshoring in action: aligning Uzbekistan’s critical raw materials with Europe’s technological resources and supply chains.” The session will explore how responsible partnerships, financing, and strategic cooperation can align Uzbekistan’s CRM potential with Europe’s technological industries, fostering diversified, resilient, and sustainable supply chains under the EU Critical Raw Materials Act.
